Echizen Fishing Port, Kokonogi Live Cam

This fixed camera looks down from a wooded slope on Echizen Fishing Port, a harbor on the Sea of Japan coast of Fukui. Long concrete-block breakwaters reach out from the shore, and boats tie up at the foot of the nearest one.

Echizen is a coastal town where steep forested mountains drop almost to the shoreline and villages sit between headlands. The camera stands in the Kokonogi district, and the basin below it belongs to Echizen Fishing Port. Houses, a pale rock cliff and a few taller buildings line the near shore at left.

The camera sits high on the slope, so foliage fills the bottom edge of the frame. The nearest breakwater bends once near its root before running out to sea, and two more arms stagger along the coast behind it. Further along the shore, more villages and harbor walls line the coast below the mountains.
