Live Harbour Webcams

What harbour webcams show

Harbour webcams look over ports, quays, piers and harbour entrances. Depending on the place, the view can be a busy container terminal with cranes, a ferry port with ships coming and going, or a small fishing harbour with a handful of boats.

A harbour is a working place, and the camera shows that work. Ferries dock and leave on schedule, cruise ships arrive early in the morning and sail in the evening, pilot boats head out to meet larger vessels, and fishing boats come back with the catch. Ship enthusiasts often keep a vessel-tracking map open next to the camera to identify each arrival.

Weather shows everywhere in a port: flags straining in the wind, waves breaking over the breakwater, fog swallowing the harbour mouth. In winter some small harbours fall almost silent, while big ports work around the clock under floodlights, which keeps the picture lively even at night.
