Wajima Port and Marine Town Live Cam

An elevated camera above the rooftops of Wajima looks north over the town to its fishing port, the breakwaters and the open Sea of Japan. A large hotel stands on the reclaimed waterfront on the right, and wooded headlands close the view on the left.

Wajima is a city on the northern coast of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, known for Wajima-nuri lacquerware. The city was among the places hardest hit by the Noto Peninsula earthquake of 1 January 2024. Marine Town, the reclaimed land by the port, holds the hotel and car parks.

In the middle of the picture, empty plots, heaps of earth and construction machinery spread between the houses, so the view shows how the town centre changes over the months. Toward the horizon, harbour cranes and red-and-white towers stand along the shore, while small boats moor in the inner harbour.
