Tower 111, Toyama Live Cam

This camera looks out over central Toyama from the roof of Tower 111, a high-rise office building in the Ushijima Shinmachi district. Mid-rise office blocks and car parks fill the foreground, while a long avenue with tram tracks runs away into the city.

Tower 111 stands a few hundred metres north-east of Toyama Station, in the centre of Toyama, the capital of Toyama Prefecture. The city lies on a broad plain near the Sea of Japan coast, and a line of mountains closes the horizon beyond the rooftops. Two red-and-white radio masts rise above the surrounding blocks.

The framing changes during the day: some views stay centred on the avenue and the distant mountains, while others turn further right and bring a large white pyramid-shaped roof toward the middle of the picture.
