Lijia Information Station, Alishan Live Cam

This camera looks over the plaza of the Lijia Information Station in the mountain village of Lijia, Alishan Township, Chiayi County. A round pavement with red and black rings fills the foreground, and the low station building stands among trees at the back.

Lijia is a Tsou village at the end of County Highway 169, set along Lijia Creek at roughly 1,100 to 1,400 meters above sea level. Steep forested mountains close in around the houses, and the highway is the only road in and out. The village lies inside the Alishan National Scenic Area.

The view changes during the day. Besides the plaza, the camera turns to look across rooftops at layered green ridges, and to a large thatched-roof building beside the square. At dusk it faces the ridge line above the village.
