Boulder lies where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountain foothills, and the Flatirons are the tilted sandstone slabs on the mountain slope above Chautauqua Park. Pearl Street is the main street of downtown Boulder, and its pedestrian mall begins just to the east.

The camera is mounted at 1035 Pearl Street and steps through five views. Besides the Flatirons, it shows a wooded hillside to the northwest above houses and trees, a view along West Pearl Street toward the mountains, a wide look southeast across the downtown roofs, and the street corner by the Centro restaurant, with a rainbow-painted crosswalk.
