Lunch Rock is a lodge near the summit of the Mary Jane side of the Winter Park ski area in Grand County, and it serves food during the ski season. Parry Peak stands on the divide about six kilometres east-southeast of the lodge.

The scene is layered: an open, rocky clearing with the trail sign in front, a deep forested valley in the middle and the bare alpine slopes of the divide along the skyline. Part of a chairlift shows at the far left edge of the picture.
