Four Points Lodge, Mount Werner Live Cam

This camera stands at Four Points Lodge, high on Mount Werner above Steamboat Springs in Colorado, beside the top of a chairlift. It looks west past a lift tower and a trail sign for Rainbow, Sunset and Twister, with the chairs passing overhead.

Four Points Lodge is a mountain restaurant at about 2,960 metres, next to the upper station of the Four Points chairlift. The Twister run starts near the lodge and descends toward the bottom of the lift. Far below lie the fields and ponds of the Yampa Valley, and the long, level ridge on the horizon belongs to the Flat Tops.

Unlike the cameras at the base of the mountain, this view looks out over the valley rather than at the lifts and buildings of the base area. In October the aspens below the lodge are bare, the grass is dry and only small patches of snow lie beside the sign.
