Astico Valley South View, Valdastico Live Cam

The camera looks south down the Astico valley at Valdastico, with a hillside village on the left and steep wooded mountains on both sides. Far ahead the slopes close into a deep V, while roofs and treetops fill the foreground.

Valdastico is a small municipality in the province of Vicenza, in the mountains of northern Veneto. There is no village of that name: the commune is a string of hamlets, with its seat at San Pietro. The Astico river runs here between the Asiago plateau to the east and the Tonezza plateau to the west, along the SS350 road toward Trentino.

This is the downstream view, following the river south between two mountain walls. Bare cliffs tower over the village on the left, its church tower rises among the houses, and the slope on the right is forested down to the valley floor.
