Ponte di Legno, Val Camonica Live Cam

This camera looks over the rooftops of Ponte di Legno, a mountain town in the upper Val Camonica, toward forested slopes and rocky peaks. The viewpoint stands at about 1,250 metres above sea level.

Ponte di Legno is the uppermost comune of Val Camonica, in the province of Brescia, Lombardy, at 1,258 m. The town grew where the Frigidolfo and Narcanello streams meet to form the Oglio river, and the Passo del Tonale is one of its hamlets. The Adamello mountain group, whose Lombard side is a regional park, rises in this part of the Alps.

The camera is fixed, with the roof edges of the hotel at the bottom of the frame. Houses fill the middle ground, and a straight clearing runs up the wooded slope on the right. In October the trees on the valley floor turn yellow and green, while spring images show snow on the highest ridges.
