Mottolino Slopes Panorama, Livigno Live Cam

This view looks over the village of Livigno from the grassy slopes of the Mottolino ski area in the Lombard Alps. A wide meadow and a lift station with gondola cabins lead the eye to the town's rooftops and the mountains across the valley.

Livigno lies in the province of Sondrio at about 1,816 m, in a long high valley close to the Swiss border. The camera sits at roughly 1,950 m near the Mottolino gondola, well above the valley floor, so almost the whole built-up strip of the town fits into one frame. In autumn the ski runs here are bare grass.

The camera is fixed and looks across the valley toward the opposite hillside, where another ski slope and its lift line run down toward the town. A barn with a rust-coloured roof and a timber chalet frame the foreground, and snow-dusted peaks close the horizon.
