Steamboat Gondola Base, Mount Werner Live Cam

This camera watches the lower terminal of the Steamboat Gondola at the foot of Mount Werner in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The blue terminal, its loading platform and the first lift towers fill the frame.

The gondola carries riders up the front of the mountain to Thunderhead Lodge, about 2,770 metres above sea level. Its line runs roughly two and a half kilometres east-southeast from the base area to the lodge. The Wild Blue Gondola and the Christie Peak Express chairlift start a short walk to the north.

The camera is close enough to read the Steamboat Gondola name on the red sign over the entry lanes and on the front of the terminal. Cabins hang on the line to the right, and a tall building and several chalets stand on the hillside beyond.
