Murodo-daira Promenade, Tateyama Live Cam

This camera overlooks the Murodo-daira plateau at about 2,450 m on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in Tateyama, Toyama Prefecture. A paved stone promenade crosses the alpine meadow toward a mountain slope with a hut at its foot.

Murodo is the highest point of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, which carries visitors through the Northern Alps between Toyama and Nagano prefectures. The plateau lies beside Murodo Terminal, inside Chubu-Sangaku National Park. Walking trails cross the meadow toward volcanic ponds and the Tateyama peaks, and the area is snowbound from late autumn into spring.

The view is fixed and looks down on the promenade from an elevated point, so hikers heading out across the plateau are easy to follow. Rock gardens and a stepped side path lie beside the promenade in the foreground.
