Simbavati Waterside Dam, Klaserie Live Cam

This camera looks across a wide dam in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger area of South Africa. A sandy shoreline with scattered bushes and trees lies beyond the open water.

Klaserie is a private reserve of about 60,000 hectares in the Greater Kruger, where the fences between the private reserves and Kruger National Park have been removed. Simbavati Waterside stands beside a large dam in the southern part of the reserve, about 30 minutes from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport. The surrounding bush is a mix of flat plains, rocky outcrops and hills.

The main view is a wide shot of the dam from the water's edge, with a pale sandy bank and the bush behind it. By day small antelope and waterbirds can be seen along the shore. At other times the camera shows the opposite bank with a fallen log, or a close-up of a single bird.
