North Beach, Lake Monterey Live Cam

This camera looks over a sandy beach on the north shore of Lake Monterey near Hopkins, Michigan, with a long pier and open water beyond. The view runs south across the lake to a small wooded island and tree-lined shores.

Lake Monterey covers about 262 acres in Allegan County, in southwest Michigan, and its shoreline alternates between sandy beaches, docks, cottages and woodland. The small wooded island known as Picnic Island lies in the southern part of the lake, near the middle of this view.

In the foreground a wide band of pale sand runs along the water, backed by grassy dunes and a paved walkway at the right edge. A long pier with a T-shaped end stands at the left, floating docks reach into the lake at the right, and power line poles rise above the far shore.
