North Beach Park, Ferrysburg Live Cam

This camera looks across the sandy beach of North Beach Park toward the open water of Lake Michigan at Ferrysburg. The wide sandy beach fills the foreground, and the long, low horizon leaves most of the frame to the sky.

North Beach Park is a small park of about seven acres on North Shore Drive, with roughly 745 feet of shoreline. A wooden stairway climbs a dune to a deck with a panoramic lake view, and the grounds also hold a picnic shelter, a playground and a sand volleyball court. The park is a short drive from Grand Haven.

The camera is fixed and faces west over the lake, a heading chosen to catch the evening sun going down over the water. Its wide view shows how the surf, the colour of the lake and the light on the sand change through the day.
