Obama City Center, Fukui Live Cam

This fixed camera looks from an upper floor over a street crossing in the city center of Obama, Fukui Prefecture. A tree-lined road runs toward the harbor, where fishing boats are moored, and Obama Bay stretches beyond the rooftops.

Obama is a port town on Wakasa Bay, on the Sea of Japan coast of Fukui Prefecture. Its center lies between the railway station and the waterfront, with low houses under tiled roofs and a few taller buildings. Wooded hills and a small island frame the bay on the far side, and the harbor at the right holds rows of fishing boats.

The camera is high enough to see over the nearest roofs, so the main street, a pedestrian crossing and a triangular traffic island fill the lower half of the frame while the bay fills the top. Cars and buses pass through the junction in the daytime.
