Jard-sur-Mer, France Live Cam

The seafront at Jard-sur-Mer lies below this webcam, in a small harbour town on the Vendée coast of western France. The stone Conchette windmill stands above the promenade, with a rock breakwater and apartment blocks around it.

The mill dates from the end of the nineteenth century and was restored as the emblem of the town. Below it lies the harbour, used by yachts and a few fishing boats, with small sand beaches on either side and pine woods behind the dunes.

The marina fills through July and August and the promenade with it. In winter the Atlantic wind comes straight onto this shore and the same frame is empty.
