Baie de Sion, Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez Live Cam

The beach at Sion-sur-l'Océan runs across this webcam view, part of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez on the Vendée coast of France. Marram grass covers the dune in the foreground, and the sand runs north towards a low headland.

Sion is one of three water sports bases in the commune, used for catamaran sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking. The commune has about ten kilometres of sand and three of rock, with the Pays-de-Monts forest and the Breton marsh immediately behind the dunes.

Campsites along this coast fill from July, and the beach in view fills with them. Out of season it is walkers and the wind, and the overlay carries the date and time.
