Libraires Beach, Pornichet Live Cam

This seafront camera in Pornichet, Loire-Atlantique, looks over Libraires Beach and the Bay of La Baule from the Boulevard des Océanides. The road, the promenade and the roof of a beach club on the sand fill the lower part of the frame.

Libraires Beach is about two kilometres of sand on the eastern side of the Bay of La Baule, between the Pornichet marina and the long beach of La Baule. Pornichet is a seaside resort, with Saint-Nazaire a short way to the east. The camera stands above the boulevard on the landward side, so the sand and the open water of the bay fill most of the view.

The camera switches between views: straight out over the beach and sea, southeast along the boulevard with the town and the marina breakwater and its masts in the distance, and west along the sand toward the far shore of the bay.
