Ziz Sculpture, Goodyear Ballpark Live Cam

The Ziz, a towering white sculpture by Donald Lipski, rises among date palms on the entrance plaza of Goodyear Ballpark in Arizona. Stone blocks, benches and desert plantings fill the paved plaza in front of an access road.

The ballpark opened in 2009 and hosts spring training for the Cleveland Guardians and the Cincinnati Reds. With its pedestal the fiberglass sculpture stands 60 feet 6 inches tall, the distance from the pitcher's mound to home plate. Lipski drew on the city's ties to aviation for the design.

The camera faces west across the plaza, with the sculpture and its red baseball stitching on the left against the sky. Tall palms cross the middle of the frame, and beyond a stop sign low houses rise behind a long wall.
