Market Square, Joensuu Live Cam

This camera overlooks Kauppatori, the market square in the centre of Joensuu in North Karelia, Finland. The wide brick-paved square is framed by multi-storey commercial buildings and a long glass-fronted market hall.

Behind the market hall on Torikatu rises the Iso-Myy shopping centre, and the buildings around the paving house shops and offices. Kiosks, stalls and outdoor seating stand on the open pavement.

The camera looks north from a raised position on the south side, so the foreground shows kiosk roofs and a large billboard panel. The market hall closes the far right of the view, and the frame covers most of the paving, from stalls and delivery vans to pedestrians and a strip of parked cars.
