Weather and time
This fixed view shows the front of JR Hakata Station and the roadside bus stops in Fukuoka's Hakata district on Kyushu. Buses, taxis and cars pass the stops in front of the station building, with its clock face and the glass-and-steel plaza canopy behind.
Hakata is the main railway station of Fukuoka and a major Shinkansen stop on the island of Kyushu. The station building, JR Hakata City, houses a department store, a cinema and shops, and the Hankyu department store sign can be read on the facade. The camera looks across the street from an office building opposite the station.
The framing does not change. Compared with a view of the whole station square from above, this angle is close to the street, so bus liveries, taxis and signs are easy to make out. After dark the facade lights up and the plaza trees are lit along the road.
