Aso Kumamoto Airport, Mashiki Live Cam

Aso Kumamoto Airport in Mashiki, Kumamoto Prefecture, is seen from a terminal roof across the apron toward the runway. Passenger jets stand at the boarding bridges while other aircraft taxi along the field.

The airport opened in 1971 on the plain east of Kumamoto city and has a single 3,000 m runway, 07/25. Its new terminal building opened in March 2023. Flights link Kumamoto with Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, and with Seoul and Taipei.

The camera sits on the terminal roof: a bare concrete deck fills the lower left, white floodlight masts rise beside the apron, and a fenced roof terrace sits at the lower right. Low mountains and a dark line of trees close the horizon beyond the runway, and the aircraft parked at the gates are seen side-on.
