Fuerteventura Airport, Spain Live Cam

The runway and apron of Fuerteventura Airport fill this view, on the Canary Island of the same name. Aircraft line the terminal stands in the middle distance, and bare volcanic hills close the horizon behind them.

El Matorral, as the airport is also known, is the way almost every visitor arrives on the island, and its traffic is mostly charter and low-cost flights from northern Europe. Puerto del Rosario, the island capital and its port, lies a few kilometres north of the field.

The landscape around the runway is dry and treeless, and the wind that makes the island a windsurfing destination blows across it most days. The stream comes from a workshop on the edge of the airport.
