A light aircraft holds on the apron at Freiburg airfield, with the Europa-Park Stadion standing directly beyond the runway. The grass strip and the paved runway both fall inside the frame, along with the taxiway markings.

Freiburg im Breisgau lies at the western edge of the Black Forest, in Baden-Württemberg, and the airfield handles general aviation only. Flight training, gliding and private flights make up almost all of the movement here.

The football stadium next to the field opened in 2021 as the home ground of SC Freiburg, and its curved roof is the largest structure in the view. Traffic on the airfield is heaviest on clear weekends, when club aircraft and gliders work the circuit in front of the webcam.
