Freedom Square, Volyně Live Cam

Freedom Square in Volyně is seen from its south side, looking toward the Renaissance town hall with its onion-domed tower. A stone fountain sits in the foreground, and the Marian column stands on the left beside lawns crossed by paths.

Volyně is a small town on the Volyňka River in South Bohemia, about 10 km south of Strakonice. The town hall began as a late Gothic burgher house and was rebuilt in the Renaissance style in the 16th century. Sgraffito on its upper storey shows the town coat of arms between allegories of concord and work, and it now houses the cultural centre.

The view takes in the whole north side of the square, from the pastel houses on the left to the arcaded town hall and the grey corner house on the right. Above the roofs rise the white tower of the Church of All Saints and a wooded hill with houses.
