Novy Vrbensky Pond, Ceske Budejovice Live Cam

This view looks across Novy Vrbensky Pond in Ceske Budejovice from an island in the middle of the water. Dense shrubs fill the foreground, while a line of trees stands along the far bank.

The pond lies in Ceske Vrbne, on the edge of Ceske Budejovice, and belongs to the Vrbenske ponds nature reserve. The reserve was declared in 1990, covers about 246 hectares and is listed as a birdwatching site.

The frame is fixed and wide. Thin branches frame it on both sides, and beyond the open water you can see the tree line, a power pylon and a few low buildings on the far bank. Reflections of the bank trees break up the water surface in the middle of the shot.
