Weather and time
This rooftop view from the Želivského crossroads looks south across Vršovice in Prague to the Slavia stadium and the Eden shopping centre. Apartment blocks with red and brown roofs fill the foreground, and housing estates and wooded hills line the horizon.
Vršovice lies south-east of the city centre in the Prague 10 district and was first mentioned in 1088. It became part of Prague in 1922 and now has about 38,700 inhabitants. The stadium, today called Fortuna Arena, holds 19,370 spectators and is the home ground of Slavia Prague.
The camera looks out from the roof of the Palác Vinohrady high-rise, about a kilometre north of the stadium. Its narrow angle brings the white stadium roof and the facades of Vršovice close, unlike the wide western panorama from the same roof.
