Ludvík Košek Ice Stadium, Turnov Live Cam

This camera looks down on the ice rink of the Ludvík Košek Ice Stadium in Turnov, part of the Maškova zahrada sports grounds. Coloured seats fill the stand below, and a scoreboard hangs above the far side of the rink.

The stadium opened in 2015 on the left bank of the Jizera in southern Turnov, a town known as a gateway to the Bohemian Paradise. Its leaf-shaped roof covers an ice surface of 59 by 26 metres, with room for about 350 spectators. The hall is named after Ludvík Košek, a local hockey player who became an RAF pilot and was killed in 1944.

The fixed lens takes in the whole rink from one goal to the other, with the town crest at centre ice, and often shows youth hockey practice. Ice is usually laid from August until early April, and in summer the rink gets an artificial surface instead.
