Weather and time
This view looks north along Jana Želivského Street in Prague's Žižkov district, where the road runs between two large tree-filled cemeteries. Trams and cars head towards the long white building of the former Žižkov freight station, with housing estates on the hills beyond.
On the left lies Olšany Cemetery, founded in 1680 and the largest cemetery in the Czech Republic at more than 50 hectares. On the right is the New Jewish Cemetery, opened in 1890, where the writer Franz Kafka is buried. The freight station closed in 2002, and its building has been a listed monument since 2013.
The camera sits on the roof of the Palác Vinohrady high-rise at the corner of Vinohradská and Jana Želivského streets. From this height the trees form a solid canopy on both sides of the road, with the white Jewish cemetery wall in the lower right corner.
