Jet d'Eau, Geneva Live Cam

This fixed panorama looks across a harbour basin on Lake Geneva toward the Jet d'Eau, the tall fountain that is the symbol of the city. Pontoons with small motorboats, sailing yachts at anchor and rows of yellow and blue pedal boats fill the foreground.

The camera stands on the Quai Gustave-Ador on the left bank of the lake, close to the long stone jetty that carries the fountain. The Jet d'Eau rises roughly 140 metres above the water, and the city skyline of the far shore stretches along the horizon with low hills behind it. On the right, the masts of a large marina line the edge of the lake.

The camera does not move, and the picture changes with the light and the season. Pedal boats are lined up along the quay in the foreground, with striped seats in view, and the lake shifts from deep blue at midday to paler tones later in the afternoon.
