Prélat, Munster Live Cam

A view of a stone arcade and a work site by the Prélat, a building of the former abbey in Munster, a town in the Vosges of Alsace. Three rounded sandstone arches fill the lower half of the frame, with piles of earth and rubble behind them.

Munster lies in the Fecht valley at the foot of the Vosges, in the Haut-Rhin department. It gave its name to the well-known Munster cheese. The town grew up around the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Grégoire, founded in the 7th century. The Prélat is the prelate's building, one of the surviving parts of the abbey near the market square.

The angle looks over the arcade toward the ground behind it, where a red machine, a blue skip and trailers stand among heaps of earth and stone. A large tree screens the upper part of the frame, and an information board is visible at the bottom left.
