Haute Joux, Les Fourgs Live Cam

This fixed camera looks across an open meadow in the hamlet of Haute Joux, part of Les Fourgs in the Doubs department. A stone farm building with a red-tiled roof stands on the left, and a dark spruce forest closes the horizon.

Les Fourgs lies on the high Jura plateau close to the Swiss border, and the Haute Joux hamlet sits at roughly 1,140 m above sea level. At that height the surroundings stay open pasture with a few small trees, bordered by conifer woods. After dark the camera produces a greyscale image.

The view never changes direction: it stays on the meadow and the treeline, with a young tree showing red autumn leaves in the right foreground. Clouds and low sun are what vary through the day, which makes it a quiet rural outlook rather than a village street.
