A soft serve freezer stands unused in the corner of a room, and a camera has been pointed at it for years as a complaint. Nothing in the frame moves except the traffic on the roundabout outside the window.

The machine is a Taylor, a make built in Rockton, Illinois, which is the town this camera is filed under. The owner, who runs a hotel on Madeira, says it never worked properly after delivery and that the agent who sold it stopped replying; the camera is the record of that argument.

The timestamp burnt into the corner reads March 2018 and does not advance. Whatever the merits of the case, the result is one of the odder fixed views on the site: an ice cream machine, a window, and a road junction somewhere beyond it.
