Weather and time
This camera looks down the passenger platform of the historic railroad depot on Church Street in East Troy, a village in southeastern Wisconsin. The cream brick depot wall with green doors fills the left side of the frame.
The Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company completed its interurban line to East Troy in December 1907. The depot occupies the former substation that powered the electric cars, finished in 1910 with neo-Egyptian details, and now houses a small museum. Volunteers run heritage electric cars over about 7 miles (11 km) of the old line toward Mukwonago.
The view is fixed. When a train is in, a red passenger car fills the right half of the frame as riders board; otherwise the empty tracks run past trolley wire poles and a low white shed. A picnic table and a small kiosk shaped like a yellow trolley car sit on the lawn below.
