Tilley Port aux Basques, NL Live Cam

Channel-Port aux Basques is the ferry town at the south-western tip of the island of Newfoundland, in Canada. The camera looks over the harbour, the breakwater and the approaches.

Everything comes through here. The crossing to Nova Scotia is the island's road link with the rest of the country, running year round through weather that regularly shuts it, and the town exists to work it.

In September 2022 the remains of Hurricane Fiona came ashore on this coast and took houses off their foundations and into the sea along the shoreline in the picture. The rebuilding moved several streets back from the water.
