Lake Suwa from Shimosuwa Rowing Park Live Cam

This camera looks across Lake Suwa from the paved quay of Shimosuwa Rowing Park, with floating docks and a moored boat below the railing. A tall white pole stands by the railing, and on the far side of the lake a town spreads along the foot of wooded hills.

Shimosuwa Rowing Park is the rowing base of the town of Shimosuwa at the northern end of Lake Suwa, the largest lake in Nagano Prefecture. The lake lies in a basin ringed by mountains, at about 760 metres above sea level.

The paved quay fills the lower left of the frame and the docks reach out into open water, while the near shoreline on the left curves away toward the distant town. This view takes in the widest stretch of the lake and its opposite shore.
