Tateishi Park Parking Lot, Suwa Live Cam

This camera looks down on the parking lot of Tateishi Park in Suwa, with Lake Suwa and the city spread out beyond it. In the foreground are parked cars among trees and the steel railing of the viewing deck.

Tateishi Park sits on a hillside in Kamisuwa, about 1.5 km northeast of the city center. From the park the city and Lake Suwa spread out below, Okaya and Shimosuwa are also in view, and the Northern Alps appear on clear days. The sunset and night views are the best known. The lot holds about 23 cars and 8 motorcycles, and there is no large parking for tour buses.

This westward view is the one to check for free spaces and for the weather over the lake: the lot, a small booth and the lower parking bays are in frame, with the far shore and its mountain ridge on the horizon. A second camera shows the narrow access road below the park.
