Kaikoku Bridge West Intersection, Minami-Alps Live Cam

This camera looks west over the intersection at the west end of Kaikoku Bridge on Alps-dori in Minami-Alps. Rooftops and car lots stretch away toward a long forested mountain ridge.

Alps-dori is Yamanashi Prefectural Route 5, the Kofu Minami-Alps Line, and from this junction the bridge carries it east toward Kai. The corner is lined with roadside businesses, among them a filling station and large lots filled with rows of parked vehicles. On the right a concrete embankment drops toward a lower road.

Mounted well above street level, the camera has a wide view over the crossing, with turning lanes and pedestrian crossings below and the roof of the neighbouring shop, covered in solar panels, in the lower right corner. The broad ridge on the skyline gives the busy crossing an open mountain backdrop.
