This camera overlooks the Asahara Bridge West intersection in Minami-Alps, Yamanashi, looking west along a wide arterial road. Cars queue in several lanes toward the traffic signals while forested mountain ridges fill the skyline.

Asahara is a district on the eastern side of Minami-Alps, a city in the Kofu Basin. The junction lies at the western end of Asahara Bridge on the Nirasaki Minami-Alps Chuo Line, and the camera faces away from the bridge.
