Suwa Taisha Harumiya Parking Lot, Shimosuwa Live Cam

This camera overlooks the Harumiya parking lot of Suwa Taisha's lower shrine in Shimosuwa, Nagano Prefecture. Marked parking bays, a large tree, pale buildings and a street fill the frame, with low mountains on the horizon.

Harumiya is one of the two sanctuaries of the Shimosha, the lower shrine of Suwa Taisha, which stands on the north side of Lake Suwa in the town of Shimosuwa. Its sacred object is a cryptomeria tree, and the Togawa River, which flows down from the Yashimagahara Wetland on the Kirigamine Plateau, runs beside it.

The lot is laid out in rows, with a line of accessible bays in front of the building at the centre. A street runs along the right edge of the frame, and the camera is fixed on the lot itself rather than on the shrine buildings.
