Yashimagahara Wetland Parking Lot, Shimosuwa Live Cam

This camera watches the Yashimagahara Wetland parking lot on the Kirigamine Plateau in Shimosuwa, Nagano Prefecture. A wide paved lot with marked bays lies in front of a grassy slope and a belt of trees.

Yashimagahara is a high-altitude wetland at about 1,630 metres on the Kirigamine Plateau, reached by the Venus Line road. A visitor centre stands next to the wetland, and the lot is the usual starting point for walks around it. The plateau belongs to Yatsugatake-Chushin Kogen Quasi-National Park.

The camera looks across the lot from a roof edge, with a low building on the right and the road bending past the far side. The view is fixed, so the number of parked cars shows how busy the wetland trails are at the moment.
