Split Rock Lighthouse, Minnesota Live Cam

This camera shows the brick tower of Split Rock Lighthouse on its clifftop above Lake Superior in Minnesota. The lantern room and a neighboring building with two large horns fill the right side of the frame.

The lighthouse was built in 1910 and stands in Split Rock Lighthouse State Park on the North Shore, about 20 miles northeast of Two Harbors. The cliff beneath it rises roughly 130 feet (40 meters) above the lake. The site is run as a historic landmark with the keeper's quarters and a museum.

The view is fixed and framed close to the tower. On the left, a rocky headland covered in forest runs along the coast, with small islets and surf near the base of the cliff, while visitors sometimes appear at the fenced lookout below the tower.
