Harbor Overlook, Duluth Live Cam

A panoramic view from the Duluth hillside across the western part of the harbor, with evergreens in the foreground and open water beyond. A hotel, a concrete silo and parking lots sit at the foot of the slope, and a long wooded spit and industrial docks line the far side.

Duluth climbs a steep slope above the western tip of Lake Superior, so the hillside looks down on the waterfront, the freeway and the docks of the Twin Ports. The harbor is shared by Duluth in Minnesota and Superior in Wisconsin and is a working port for cargo such as iron ore, coal and grain.

Two tall evergreens stand in the middle of the frame and partly block the view, while the sky and water take up the upper half. The camera is fixed, so it shows the weather over the harbor, the colors of the trees and vessels moving along the far shore.
