This live-streaming webcam offers a look at Monument Square in downtown Portland, Maine, United States. At the centre of the square stands the Portland Soldiers and Sailors Monument, often referred to as "Our Lady of Victories". This landmark has been part of the square since 1891, occupying the former site of the city hall and serving as a focal point for the surrounding civic space.The monument includes a sculpted figure representing the goddess Victory, positioned above a granite pedestal. It was created to honour the Portland soldiers and sailors who served during the American Civil War, and it remains one of the city’s most recognisable historic features.For this year’s Christmas season, a 40-foot red spruce tree has been installed in the square, adding a festive atmosphere to the area.
