Seaside Inn, Kennebunk Beach Live Cam

This camera overlooks Kennebunk Beach in southern Maine from the grounds of the Seaside Inn, with open ocean beyond the dunes. A low stone breakwater and a wooded point close the bay on the left side of the frame.

Kennebunk Beach is a seaside neighbourhood of the town of Kennebunk, in York County, on the Gulf of Maine. Beach Avenue follows the shore here, with summer houses and small inns facing the water. The Seaside Inn stands at 80 Beach Avenue, right above the sand.

The frame is fixed: a mown lawn and a dark fence in front, a band of dune grass, a narrow beach and then a wide sweep of sea to the horizon. At low tide a dark band of wet sand and seaweed shows at the water's edge, and around midday sunlight glitters on the water. A text strip at the bottom shows the air temperature and wind speed.
