Weather and time
This camera looks south over Cundy's Harbor in Harpswell, Maine, where lobster boats ride at their moorings off a wooded shore. In the foreground a grassy slope leads down to a dock with a metal gangway, kayaks on a rack and an American flag.
Cundy's Harbor is a working waterfront village at the eastern edge of Sebascodegan Island, one of the bridged islands that form much of Harpswell. The town spreads along Casco Bay, and about 40 percent of its jobs are tied to the sea through fishing, boating and tourism. No town in Maine has more active lobstering licenses.
Compared with the north camera at the same site, this one shows the busier part of the harbor, with a dozen work boats moored between the dock and the wooded points beyond. Tall trees frame both sides of the picture, and the date and time run along its lower edge.
