Merrimack River Moorings, Newburyport Live Cam

Sailboats at moorings and a row of small docks fill this view down the Merrimack River at Newburyport, Massachusetts. A low marsh shore stretches along the far side of the water.

The Merrimack River widens below Newburyport as it heads toward the Atlantic, and the water here holds moored sailboats and motor cruisers. Boats are tied along a small pier with white railings and a gangway, and a yellow yard crane stands on the gravel lot beside the water. On the horizon the marsh shore flattens into a long, low line.

Compared with the close dock view, this camera is aimed farther downriver and shows more open water, so passing boats and the changing tide are easy to follow. A grey patrol boat lies at the right edge of the frame. The camera stays fixed.
