Jenness Beach, Rye Live Cam

Jenness Beach lies at Rye, on the short piece of Atlantic coastline that belongs to the state of New Hampshire. The webcam is run by a surf shop and looks along the sand.

The state has less coastline than any other with a sea border: about twenty-nine kilometres between Massachusetts and Maine. Every metre of it is consequently in demand, and the shore road is one long line of parked cars from June.

The surf here works on north-east swell in autumn and winter, which means wetsuits and a water temperature in single figures. The Isles of Shoals are visible offshore on a clear day.
